PSSSB Recruitment Notification 2016

It’s been a long time that candidates have been waiting for the official notification of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB). The wait is finally over as PSSSB has finally released the official 2016 recruitment notification. Those who are interested in Punjab government jobs can now apply for various posts such as surveyor, junior technician, agriculture Invigilator, horticulture invigilator, junior auditor, Forester etc. In total there are 1069 vacancies, for which online application form has to be filled on or before 10th February, 2016. The PSSSB recruitment 2016 selection procedure is a two-tier process which consists of written test and personal interview. The Minimum age to appear in the written test as prescribed by PSSSB is 18 years. For more details on eligibility please refer to the official notification available on the official website.

The Punjab SSSB is inviting online applications from the eligible candidates. Candidates who are 10+2 are eligible to apply for various posts as per the details given in the notification. Moreover, out of 1069 vacancies there are specific posts available for candidates possessing diploma or bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the relevant fields. It is therefore requested to kindly go through the official notification carefully and thoroughly.

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants should have passed 10+2 or ITI or must be having a diploma or bachelor’s degree in the relevant field that too from a recognized institute or university. Those who do not meet the said educational criteria won’t be allowed to appear for the examinations. Candidates who possess required educational qualifications are requested to fill their application before the expiry of last date i.e. February 10, 2016.

Mode of application:

The online mode of application is quite easy and convenient. Every candidate needs to pay a fixed amount of application fees which is variable for different categories. Refer to the notification to know the amount of fees. Following are some of the important dates which one needs to keep in mind.

Commencement of applications: 11.01.2016

Last date of registration: 10.02.2016

Closing date for payment of fees: 15.02.2016

Pay-scale:

Candidates, who will qualify the said examination and get selected for the various posts, will be given a salary of Rs. 5,310 to Rs. 20,200. The grade pay for the same will be Rs. 1,900 to Rs. 3,000/- per month post training.

After receipt of applications, Punjab SSSB admits cards will be made available online for the download purpose by the candidates. Applicants will need to wait for the official release of the admit cards as after that only they will be able to download their admit cards.
